Over 30 years ago, Frilly Frocks started. There was one goal in mind: to help brides enjoy finding their dream wedding dress. Making bespoke silk wedding dresses for Brides through out the South West was how it started and now all these years on we are one of the regions most experienced and trusted bridal retailers.

Today, that aim stands, but we include Mothers of the bride or grooms in the pledge too! We are famous for our expertise, extensive knowledge and most importantly fun and relaxed appointments. Why Frilly Frocks?

Well, when the store established in the 1980’s - bridal gowns were frilly to say the least! We made bespoke silk bridal and bridesmaids gowns back then.

Today we showcase luxurious wedding dresses and stylish mother of the bride outfits. We carry a large selection of leading brands and different dress styles for all shapes and sizes. Brides come from all over Devon, Cornwall and Somerset to visit our bridal studio.

We were the Devon bridal shop featured on ‘don’t tell the bride’ in 2014. David picked a beautiful dress for his beautiful bride to be. The lovely Rosie came in to try the dress on and loved it, phew! Many congratulations to Rosie and David.

Retail Bridal Association Protection

Retail Bridal Association (RBA) members are all independent wedding dress shops. Frilly Frocks is a RBA member. We are bound by their ‘code of practice’. We ensure the bride receives the highest standards of care and service. As RBA members we : Sell original bridal gowns sourced direct from the corresponding designer. Sell wedding dresses that include the necessary boning, lining, corsetry and underskirts. Sell wedding dresses by designers matching all descriptions made about fabric, beading etc. Do not deal with home traders. Make sure our dresses fit the bride. Be aware of internet sellers - if it seems to good to be true, then it most likely is!
